The purposes of our society are:

to advocate on behalf of all agricultural sectors and their offshoots
to provide a forum for cooperation, communication and support among all island growers and producers
to develop year-round marketing for island agricultural products
to develop Hornby/Denman as a well known destination for healthy, natural food products, grown-locally, using sustainable agricultural practices
to develop local processing facilities and systems for adding value to agricultural
products to increase opportunities for youth, families, seniors and future generations to engage in agricultural activities
to develop, promote and support agricultural education and stewardship
to provide an inlet to sustainable agriculture for philanthropy
to demonstrate how agriculture and conservation can become integrated and mutually beneficial
